A practical first step

New in the role

You inherited the decisions. Find out where they stop.

The organization already works a certain way.

A new COO, general manager, or division head inherits approval steps nobody chose on purpose. Some decisions wait for one person. Some are made twice. In the first weeks you can feel it. You cannot yet see it.

Start with one bounded decision pathway.

Ten minutes. One leader answers questions about how one decision actually moves. The result is a Decision Velocity score and band for that run, plus a plain description of the reported conditions most associated with delay.

This is a directional read from one participant, not an organization-wide finding.

Add perspectives without losing the scope.

Invite six to twelve people from one unit to run the same diagnostic. The Depth Synthesis summarizes eligible runs from that participant set, including the median, spread, and where perspectives diverge. That creates a dated, versioned baseline before you change anything.

Change one thing, then measure the same scope.

Run the same version against the same scope in about 90 days. A different score is a signal to examine alongside what changed. It does not by itself prove that the change caused the result. Repeat measurement belongs to the subscription. It is not required to begin.
